In Fred’s Memory
Frederick Hood died on December 24, 2008, at the young age of 28. He was loved by many many people.
Upon his sudden and tragic death, both friends and family wanted a way for his memory to live on. Hence, various initiatives have been started in Fred’s memory.
Fred had a brilliant mind, a joie de vivre, a keen wit. In honor of him, it makes sense that both friends and family sought to commemorate Fred’s love of learning through his alma maters.
Fred’s family has collaborated with Eton and Harvard to establish a Memorial Fund on his behalf. See the page here titled Eton Memorial Fund. Close friends and colleagues at SAIS have established the SAIS Memorial Fund.
